Cornelia DeDona is the recognized author of Letters to a Prisoner by Connie D. Letters to a Prisoner received an Honorable Mention for Poetry at the 2011 New York Book Festival. Cornelia’s recent poetry and photography memoir, Hawaiian Time, received the 3rd place Vinnie Ream award in the Multi-discipline category from the National League Of American Pen Women in 2016.
An Arts & Letters Member-At-Large of the National League of American Pen Women, Cornelia held an executive position at their Honolulu branch.
Cornelia’s poetry and photography published 2008-2013 in Rain Bird, the award-winning Literary and Art journal of Windward Community College, Kaneohe, Hawaii. In 2013 she was awarded Rain Bird’s Kolokolea Award in Poetry for her poem, Speaking French. She also received Honorable Mention in 2010 for her poem, Writing Retreat.
