Of seasoned beauty
Be not deceived
The fire burns bright
On this starless night
Heed the elements,
Have a care, for
GOD and grasshoppers
will not save you there.
…
Leaping with zest
Reaching the crest
Baring its breast
Where the strata cut deeper
Posing new threats
Feeling suppressed
And the tactlessness
of the latest self-seeker.
…
It is a mountain worth the climb.
Though the path is steep and jagged
Will you heed the sign
Or the pain in your prime
Which has you feeling quite ragged.
Embrace your mind, divine the time
For the mere grasshopper,
Enlightenment can be unkind.
