Souvenirs from the Craft Fair

Shaped like a doll’s dress

Green ribbons tied into bows

Attach to green piping and

Open for a towel dry.

This two-sided  dress is embellished at the top with polished buttons

Christmas trees and whimsical little snowmen.

Frosty with his shiny black top hat

is front and center on the bottom of the skirt.

In Hawaii, we had the coconut wireless.

In Florida, we have bricks

Although you could opt for a plain one

Keeping to the brick color.

I choose to communicate with my friends and neighbors and

metaphorically kill two birds with one brick.

So, I am now the proud owner of two painted bricks.

Does that double the killing power? Absolutely.

Although I prefer to leave them sitting on the steps.

One is brick-shaped and yellow with a beautiful hand-painted hibiscus, with my house number on it!  The other is for the Holidays. It is square-shaped, providing the perfect dark blue backdrop of the night sky with a silver bell and stars painted on it.

I’ve been wanting to do this for a few years now.  Yes, I had to have it.  Wait for it…

I am now the proud owner of a handmade New York Yankees Golf Cart Steering Wheel Cover. And it was such a deal, two for five dollars! I also got a  Miami Dolphins plate cozy to protect my fingers when microwaving leftovers.

Err-Did I mention the pair of silver bell earrings? They called me by my first name, really.

All this shopping was making me hungry.

So I headed over to the freshly preserved jams and cucumber pickle aisle. I got the pickles, the plum, and the blackberry jam.  Did you know that blackberries make you bleed when you pick them?  I got that straight from the growers. I confess, it wasn’t an aisle, but the goodies were certainly fresh, and the salespeople were smiling. It’s hard to walk away when people selling food smile at you.

What did you get??
