The way you make love
is the way God will be with you.
*This is Rumi’s variation on the golden rule.
Love marks calendar
three hundred sixty-five days
to stay in top shape.
Love is artistic
enjoys painting sunrises
nurturing heartstrings.
God’s enduring love
pushes back devastation
for another day.
Love knows how time flies
then slows down to let you catch
up, and enjoy it.
