Cornelia DeDona is the recognized author of Letters to a Prisoner by Connie DLetters to a Prisoner received an Honorable Mention for Poetry at the 2011 New York Book Festival. In addition, Cornelia’s poetry and photography memoir, Hawaiian Time, received the 3rd place Vinnie Ream award in the Inaugural  Multi-discipline category from the National League Of American Pen Women in 2016.

Cornelia is both an Arts & Letters Member of The Southwest Florida Branch of the National League of American Pen Women, and currently serves as their Secretary.

Cornelia’s poetry and photography also published 2008-2013 in Rain Bird, the award-winning Literary and Art journal of the University of Hawaii- Windward Community College, Kaneohe, Hawaii. In 2013 she was awarded Rain Bird’s Kolokolea Award for Poetry, for her poem, Speaking French. She also received Honorable Mention in 2010 for her poem, Writing Retreat.
